Our Founder

Immortal African is a film studio founded by Takunda A. Chimutashu, also known as Zen the Immortal Spirit of Africa (Zen ISA). Zen created Immortal African as an expression of his passion for telling African stories with authenticity and respect for the audiences, clients, and brands he works with worldwide.

Our Mission

We are committed to equipping African filmmakers to tell their stories with authenticity, beauty and power. By celebrating our stories we can pull the global community closer together, combat misinformation and speak our truth to power as one.

Our Work

We are passionate about creating and facilitating content that centers African stories and local narratives. To that end we create a variety of inhouse media content, including films (short and long), documentaries, corporate videos, podcasts and articles and we also strive to equip African filmmakers through education and community building

Our Future

We are excited about the future of African and Global storytelling and we believe there is a growing demand for authentic, earnest story telling told from a place of passion. We are committed to meeting the demand for high quality content and we are excited to continue to grow our team and our scope.
